Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam
For the past two years I have worked in the Web&Media Sciences Group in the Computer Science Department at VU University Amsterdam. I worked in INVENiT, a cross-disciplinary project which brought scholars from computer science and history together to complement each other in order to create opportunity for research by improving the interactivity and transparency of digitized cultural heritage collections. In this project, we worked with the Rijksmuseum Print Online Collection and the VU University Library Bible collection. Throughout the project, we did a research visit at the British Museum and worked in the Rijksmuseum for a few months.
Another project that I was involved in is DigiBird. It is a valorisation project that aims at providing access in an integrated view to cultural heritage collections about birds. The collections that are integrated in the system are images, sounds and videos from Naturalis Biodiversity Center, the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision and the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam.
