Galena Kostoska is currently a Ph.D. student in the field of Social Informatics at the University of Trento, Italy. Her research interests are in museum informatics or more specifically in understanding if, what, and how visitors share about their museum visits with their friends and family members, and identifying which practices and technologies can help increase sharing. The work fits into a research thread that aims at i) increasing participation to cultural events for people who are able to attend them (by creating awareness and sharing one’s excitement about them), ii) enabling persons that for various reasons are unable to attend to still enjoy events and exhibitions through the storytelling of their friends and family, and possibly to even iii) join remotely their friends and family in the visit.
