Need a Roommate for MW2009?

What activity brings together cost-savings, environmental stewardship, and social networking?
Room-sharing at MW2009!
I'm looking for one or several roommates for MW2009. I'm game for up to three roommates (yes, that means sharing beds) or just one if you're all feeling squeamish. I'm female but gender-flexible with regard to roommates.
Awesome things you can do if you have a roommate:
- pushup contests!
- toothbrush bonding!
- ignore each other and just save money!
Things you can't do if you are my roommate (other people may have other criteria):
- have sex in the room!
- keep the TV on all the time!
- snore, smoke, or scream in the night!
If you are looking for a roommate, please respond to this thread. If you want to room with me, you can also email me at nina@museumtwo.com
If many people respond, that means more cheap rooms for everyone. If you have particular restrictions or needs, please share them in your post.
I'll be in Indianapolis from Wed to Sun (4 nights) as well and am totally up for bonding over dental hygiene. I'm volunteering so I need to stay at the Conf. designated hotel.
I live in a co-op so I’m used to sharing and respecting people’s space. I have no critical aversions or preferences. I don’t smoke and prefer to sleep in spaces where people don’t – but I'm flexible.
This is my first M&W conference – so I’m pretty stoaked!
…anyone else taking the iPhone workshop or interested in social networking possibilities and geospatially aware devices in general...
Also – Nina, if your roommate siuation isn't already squared away – I’ll be taking a class with you in the fall – it would be a nice opportunity to talk about all the everything, or all the nothing.

FYI, the Embassy Suites, which is around the corner from the Hyatt Regency, has two-room suites starting at $189. They feature three beds and full breakfast and are a good option if you are looking for ways to bring more people into your hotel experience.
Jennifer, if there's any way to get a conference rate there as well, that would be superb!
We strongly urge everyone coming to MW2009 to stay at the conference hotel: the economics of the meeting depend on it.
The way conference contracts work, the hotel provides meeting space in return for room rental nights / catering. if we don't make our minimums, we'll be liable for penalties.
We're working with the hotel to keep the rate as reasonable as possible; it's a lot less than the ARLIS hotel.

I'm sorry--I didn't realize there was this type of connection. Your urge makes sense. The Hyatt Regency was not able to accommodate 3-person rooms and I was just looking for an option to support that. I want MW2009 to be a success and now I understand how staying at the Hyatt fits in!
I would be interested in sharing a room for all the reasons Nina lists - and with pretty much the same parameters. I plan to stay Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights.
