Balboa Park Online Collaborative seeks Director

We are seeking an innovative technical manager of a LAMP environment with museum and/or performing arts organization experience and a vision for expanding Web services to lead a web team in San Diego that will work closely with the Web staffs of 17 institutions in Balboa Park.
The Balboa Park Online Collaborative (BPOC) is a newly formed organization, funded for initial three year period, with goals to create efficiencies, provide in-service training and consulting, and expand functions of the Web within each member institution. Initial working group projects involving 3-10 institutions each, include shared connectivity and hosting infrastructure; Intranet; shopping cart functions serving membership, development, events and stores; collections digitization and public access; course registration; ticketing and archiving. Incumbent would assemble and lead a consulting team to assist the Working Groups to achieve their objectives, to support a shared CMS (Drupal) and to provide and/or contract for in-service training programs.
Incumbent reports to the Foundation funding the project and to an Advisory Committee consisting of the Executive Directors of participating institutions.
